While running some errands today and picking up some p ho to warm the soul, a gentleman came up to me and started asking me about the Legacy GT. Wanted to know what year it was, if it was manual, how it was running, etc.
Most people have no idea about them but it t urns out he used to have one when they first came out and regrets getting rid of it. I’m going on six years of ownership and I think I wi ll keep it in the family especially since it’s so hard to find a comparable replacement.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

As much as
I dislike socializing and, we
ll,
people... I do really appreciate the fact that
everywhere
I go, there is someone who
either has
, or used to have, or would like to have,
a W
rangler. Always something to talk about.

Great. It’s cold and rainy here so now I’m really craving Pho.
From Pho Xe Tang.

I don’t think I’ll ever go back to chicken noodle . Maybe this will help your cravings,

I used to live not too far from Chicago’s Vietnamese neighborhood where Tank Noodle is, but don’t now, so I haven’t had pho in way too long.
Now I NEED it. Have dinner plans for tonight, but I found a joint about 20 minutes away to try tomorrow...

HAHA I got a good chuckle out of the name of that pho place you mentioned. It literally translates into Pho Tank. Tank a s in the military vehicle.

It’s a Chicago legend. Been there for years, fantastic pho, very cheap, not much atmosphere, and they rush you. I love it!
It’s American name is Tank Noodle. A nd yes, there is a military tank on the sign!

It’s spectacular. The homey feeling is amplified and usually pho is made when it’s cold out. So picture the windows fogged up from the warmth of the kitchen and the whole house smelling like pho.
If you want to venture into other home-made vietnamese food, my absolute favorite that I have never once seen in a restaurant is butter beef. It’s beef that is sprinkled with lemon grass accompanied with shrimp and cuttlefish. You cook it on an electric griddle at the table (like KBBQ) on butter and you make spring rolls with it and dip it in fish paste. My all time favorite dish that reminds me of my childhood.
